how to dress for a tea party

Last night my mother in-law along threw me a tea party themed shower. I had the best time with all of my friends. The decorations and food (mini sandwiches, sugar cookies, and chocolate strawberries) were amazing as well as all of the girls outfits!

When I heard they were throwing me a tea party I was so excited, mostly to start planning my outfit. I bought this dress last year and decided that it was the perfect number for high tea. And of course I was on the search for gloves.

Thank you to all of you who came out to celebrate and bless me. I am so grateful.

I must say I love wedding season!

I'm a bridesmaid in my friend's upcoming wedding, and 1 of her showers is a tea party, too! Feel free to ship your entire outfit down south for me. ;)

I love the tea party themed shower! Such a perfect reason to get dressed to the nines in your sunday best, and I welcome any excuse to drink tea and eat cookies. You look GORGEOUS in your florals and lace, and I love your earrings, gloves, handbag…. jeez, I love it all! Also, your friend in the blue floral dress (the one in both pictures on the bottom row)- LOVE that pattern and color palette. So excited for you! YAY! Weddings!
