june showers

The Okanagan is famous for summer and all it brings; sunshine, boating on the lake, drinking wine on patios, and all the cycling/walking/beaching that you can handle!  Coming from the is-often-freezing-cold Albertan prairies, I do like to brag about Kelowna’s desert-like climate with high heat in the summer.  Well, not this year.  I’ve hardly pulled out my shorts (which I live in all summer long), so I’m settling for my trusty colored skinny jeans to pull me through until this weather smartens up.  At least I can rest in knowing my pants are getting some good wear, since I can’t stop buying colored and patterned versions!

What has your weather been looking like?! As pathetic as mine?

trench coat: BB Dakota
jean vest: The Gap
gingham button up: Joe Fresh
coral neon skinny jeans: American Eagle
ankle boots: Steve Madden

A few weeks of rain and dreary weather doesn’t mean that the rest of our okanagan summer will be drab! I’ve lived here all my life and never have I seen a summer without a few weeks of rain. You’ll be out in your shorts and trendy tank tops soon, I guarantee it!
